Audrey Meisenhelter Nee Bellis

Vale audrey a Passionate Local and Family Historian.

It is with a sad heart that we received notice of the passing of Audrey Meisenhelter (nee Bellis), a foundation member of Granville Historical Society. Audrey lived in Granville for many years, she was a descendant of Sydney Nelson Staff. Audrey was a keen family historian and very knowledgeable about Granville and Parramatta History.

Her passing is a loss to the community, she fought to save many heritage properties in her life time, her work with our society in our formative days was unbelievable, she would often pop into our business with an envelope of goodies containing photographs and information she had found. Audrey also worked with the society to fund raise, by being Matron of Honour for a series of Debutante Balls run by the society, also supplying Flower Girls and Page Boys to be in the ceremony.

Granville will be a poorer place for her passing, Audrey was a local history resource, and was just a phone call away. May you rest in Peace Audrey President Barry Bullivant, June Bullivant, and the Granville Historical Society members thoughts are with Linda and her family.
