book is an autobiography of Ted Spears who was born in Glebe in the early 1900s
and moved to Granville very early in his childhood. It reveals vivid memories of

book details the establishment of Granville from the days of aboriginal
settlement to 1919. It was written by Thomas Fowlie, a resident of Granville
from 1886 to his death in 1920, when the handwritten manuscript was lodged with
the Mitchell Library. The book was published by the society in 2001 with
approval from the Mitchell Library and with the assistance of a Bi-Centennial
Grant from the Federal Government and a Heritage Grant from Parramatta City
